Durability analysis for NYVAC challenge study timing

Using historical data to inform design of future studies.

VISC statistician, Bryan Mayer, used data from 4 NHP studies testing NYVAC products (CAVD 259, CAVD 277, CAVD 281, and CAVD 434) to inform the design of an upcoming challenge study. Data on the duration of immune responses from the Binding Antibody Multiplex Assay (BAMA), Intracellular Cytokine Staining (ICS), and Neutralizing Antibody (nAb) TZM-bl assays were explored to help define a timeframe for challenge administration during which responses are still detectable.

In this case study, DataSpace was used to:

  • identify NHP studies using relevant vaccine products
  • do a quick plot of the immune responses over time
  • identify durability time points
  • select assay datasets for exploration
  • access the assay data using the DataSpaceR API

For more details and to see results of this exploration, check out the report, Durability analysis for NYVAC challenge study timing, under Learn > Reports.

A copy of the dataset, NYVAC durability comparison, used in this case study is available on the Home page under Curated groups and plots.
