New Features in DataSpaceR

New features have been added to DataSpaceR that allow for adding LANL metadata to mAb data pulled with the API, and assistance for users who what to apply standard virus names to data not already found in DataSpace. We are also providing a cheat sheet to help users use the DataSpaceR API quickly and efficiently. Read more

New mAb magnitude-breadth reports

Over the last year, we've been working with investigators and developers to redesign the data visualizations for monoclonal antibody data in the DataSpace. We've added a new magnitude-breadth curve visualization and improved the functionality of existing reports by offering more interactivity, and increasing the number of mAb-virus combinations and neutralization curves per plot. All plotting is now performed using JavaScript and the D3 JavaScript library… Read more

Publication data now available!

DataSpace now provides analysis datasets on the publication pages in Learn. The Learn section offers detailed information and metadata regarding data found in DataSpace. The Publications section in Learn is a compilation of CAVD and HVTN manuscripts (plus a few other publications for related trials like RV144). Each publication has its own publication page. The data used for these publications can now be posted to and downloaded from the publication pages. In… Read more

Virus metadata updates

We've updated the Learn about - Assay pages for the neutralizing antibody assays (NAb and NAb MAb) to add more metadata about viruses tested in CAVD and HVTN studies. Viruses listed on the Antigens tab are displayed with a standardized full name and other names used for the virus in publications and databases. The full name includes the virus backbone in brackets, followed by the host cell associated with the virus. The full name will also include the virus type in… Read more

More assay data now available!

There have been over 50 different assays performed in CAVD and HVTN studies. Currently, the DataSpace provides standardized assay data, integrated across studies, for the most commonly performed assays, i.e. BAMA, ICS, NAb, PK MAb, and ELISpot. In order to provide data for additional assays that have not yet been standardized, or are not able to be standardized, we have upgraded the DataSpace to enable us to post individual, study-specific datasets to the study pages.… Read more

PK mAb data now available!

The CAVD and HVTN have seen an increased emphasis on passive immunization studies where participants receive a monoclonal antibody (mAb) as part of a prophylactic or treatment regimen. The PK data from these studies is important for evaluating and further characterizing those mAbs known to be broadly neutralizing (bNAbs), determining the appropriate dose levels required to maintain optimal concentration levels of mAbs in the blood, and identifying potential… Read more

Finding publications just got easier!

We've added a new feature that gives members a quick and easy way to search for publications. This new Publications section in Learn is a compilation of research conducted under the Collaboration for AIDS Vaccine Discovery (CAVD) and HIV Vaccine Trials Network (HVTN). Use the search box or filters to find publications of interest. Search by: Filter or sort column headers: Click on a publication to get more details, including a full list of authors, a link to the publication… Read more

Pharmacokinetic data is coming soon!

In response to the growing number of studies evaluating the administration of monoclonal antibodies as part of a candidate prevention or treatment regimen, the DataSpace team will be incorporating pharmacokinetic (PK) data into the DataSpace. We're working with the VISC statisticians to develop the dataset format and plots for the new PK BAMA (Luminex) and PK NAb (neutralizing antibody) data. If you have experience with mAb infusion studies and PK data, we'd love to… Read more

HVTN joins the DataSpace

We are excited to announce that the HIV Vaccine Trials Network (HVTN) has joined the CAVD DataSpace as a contributing network! To further enrich this shared resource, the HVTN is contributing study information and data from HVTN studies — adding to the over 250 studies conducted under the Collaboration for AIDS Vaccine Discovery (CAVD). We're just getting started putting in the HVTN study pages and processing data for a few studies. Here's what you'll see in the DataSpace… Read more
