Going to HIVR4P 2018?
VISC Statistician, Bryan Mayer, will be presenting an abstract at the upcoming HIVR4P 2018 meeting this week in Madrid, Spain. His poster, "The CAVD DataSpace data sharing and discovery tool facilitates exploration of HIV immunological data from pre-clinical and clinical HIV vaccine studies", highlights key features and several use cases utilizing data from the DataSpace including: Stop by and check it out! HIV Research for Prevention 2018 (HIVR4P 2018) is the… Read more
Monoclonal antibody data now available!
We've standardized and compiled neutralizing antibody data across monoclonal antibody characterization studies - about 25 studies so far. Using the new mAb interface in DataSpace, you'll be able to: We're continuing to refine and add to this new feature. Here are a few of the things we're working on: This is a work in progress, so send us your feedback. Just click the Give Feedback button at the top of the page or email us at [email protected]. Global access to the DataSpace
The CAVD DataSpace is now open to the broader scientific community beyond those affiliated with the CAVD and the invited networks. Under this expanded membership, all members, including the public, have access to the complete set of HIV vaccine study pages in the DataSpace, and to data that have been designated by contributing networks for public access. For more information about public access to the DataSpace, read our blog, An Open DataSpace. Read more
An Open DataSpace
When we launched the CAVD DataSpace in December 2015, DataSpace membership included active and former members of the CAVD. In the fall of 2017, we invited members from HIV vaccine networks beyond the CAVD to join the DataSpace. Since then, we've been reaching out to networks to identify target members who'd benefit the most from accessing the DataSpace, specifically, investigators, junior investigators, staff scientists, and post docs involved in concept… Read more
MAb data? You betcha!
The DataSpace team has been busy processing the neutralizing antibody data from monoclonal antibody (mAb) screening and characterization studies. We aim to have mAb data available in DataSpace for exploration by late summer/early fall. Here's a mock-up of the new mAb section we are developing for the DataSpace. Using this summary view, you'll be able to: If you have experience (and/or an interest) in mAb nAb data and would like to participate in the working group,… Read more
MAb characterization data is coming soon!
We're organizing a working group to provide feedback and guidance for incorporation of neutralizing antibody (nAb) data from monoclonal antibody (mAb) screening and characterization studies. The group will review the planned implementation in DataSpace and discuss topics such as: If you have experience (or an interest) in mAb nAb data and would like to participate in the working group, contact [email protected]. VISC invites HIV vaccine networks to join the DataSpace
The long-term goal for the DataSpace is to encompass research conducted across multiple HIV vaccine networks. As an initial step, we are reaching out to HIV vaccine networks for help in identifying members of their networks who would benefit the most from the DataSpace, specifically investigators, junior investigators, staff scientists, and post docs involved in concept development, study design, and ancillary studies. We will be providing individual accounts for… Read more
We're looking for collaborators
We anticipate that one of the primary ways people will use the DataSpace is to identify and export data for use in other analysis tools. We know that once you've identified data of interest, and maybe taken a quick look at the data in Plot, you'll probably want to export that data to take a closer look or do a more sophisticated analysis. We want to make that process of getting data into your own analysis tools as efficient and user friendly as possible. The DataSpace team is… Read more
DataSpace data forum now available on the CAVD portal
A DataSpace training was presented on Thursday, April 28th 2016 as part of the monthly CAVD data forum series. This session is an introductory training to show you how the DataSpace can benefit and enhance the work at your consortia. In this session, we show you how to explore information from over 225 CAVD studies, including information about the assays, products, and designs used in the studies, and explore harmonized, integrated data from clinical and NHP studies for 4… Read more
